What Is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a meditative, immersive experience where you are "bathed" in sound waves from various musical instruments such as, crystal singing bowls, gongs and chimes. The session is a non-invasive, deeply relaxing timeout that utilizes an unpredictable melodic soundscape to create space for deep relaxation, release and restoration.
A sound bath can act as a nervous system reset by switching off the high-stress "fight-or-flight" sympathetic nervous system and activating the "rest and digest" parasympathetic nervous system. This shift allows the brain and body to slow down, reduce cortisol (primary stress hormone), repair tissue and ease anxiety. This state of calm allows your body the emotional and physiological space for your cells to function at their highest level. When we take personal timeouts to care for ourselves, we have more energy to give and care for others...and so it is.
How Can a Sound Bath Help Me?
Taking a self-care timeout to receive a sound bath can provide numerous benefits for a person. This may be especially true for the people that live a 24/7, everything-is-interrupted lifestyle. For some, like new parents, this can be an especially challenging shift to experience. Taking a self-care timeout offers you the unique opportunity to actually focus on yourself. To allow someone else to take care of you and make space for you to STOP, relax and pay attention to yourself. This will help to reduce your stress and anxiety. The soothing sounds can promote deep relaxation and improve sleep quality, which is crucial for recovery and overall well-being. Additionally, this serene experience can enhance emotional balance, allowing new mothers and parents to feel more centered and connected to themselves and their baby.

What Do I Have To Do?
As a sound bath participant, your primary "job" is to receive, be still and listen. It is a passive experience where you allow the sound waves to "wash" over you rather than actively follow a melody or rhythm.
There is nothing for you to "do" or figure out and there is no right or wrong...this is your time to just be.
As humans, we play so many roles as somebody's child, daughter, sister, brother, son, partner, parent or employee and spend so much time being human's doing. We rarely take timeouts for ourselves to be human's being. This is your invitation to take an hour for yourself to recharge, be still and allow the sounds to stop the noise...and so it is!
